WWE Raw Records Second-Lowest Non-Holiday Viewership In Modern History

According to reports, WWE and Vince McMahon tried their hardest to make sure last night’s episode of Raw from Madison Square Garden was must-see.

The show featured a tag team match between all Four Horsewomen, an appearance from Stone Cold Steve Austin, and a very entertaining Firefly Fun House with Bray Wyatt.

While the show was actually pretty well-received by viewers, Raw did not fare too well in the ratings.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, Raw lost nearly 400,000 viewers as a result of the start of the NFL season.

Last week, Raw averaged 2.5million viewers. However, this week’s show averaged just 2.13million. According to Bryan Alvarez, this number was the second-lowest non-holiday viewership for Raw in the modern era.

This is certainly not good news considering last night’s show was the final Raw before the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event.

WWE will be hoping Smackdown Live tonight, which is also set to emanate from Madison Square Garden, fares better in the ratings.
