The February 17 episode of WWE Raw will be without Rhea Ripley, the Women’s World Champion has revealed.
Ripley confirmed that news on her own Instagram account, sharing an update on Buddy Matthews after his AEW Grand Slam Australia injury.
The WWE star was in Brisbane and was spotted at the February 15 AEW event supporting her husband as he faced Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Continental Championship.
In her post on Instagram, Ripley commented that she is now on honeymoon with Matthews after the pair got married in June 2024.
Ripley doesn’t appear as a “featured superstar” on the preview for the February 17, 2025, episode of WWE Raw, although Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest are shown along with GUNTHER, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.
She is seemingly set to return for the February 24 episode, however, where she is listed for the show alongside GUNTHER, Liv Morgan, Bron Breakker, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
Ripley recaptured the WWE Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan on the January 6, 2025 premiere of Raw on Netflix.
She would go on to defend the championship against Nia Jax on the January 25 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, highlights of which can be seen below this news story.
With Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair choosing Tiffany Stratton as her WrestleMania 41 opponent, Ripley will face the winner of the March 1 Elimination Chamber match at the show of shows.
With only one more spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match on March 1, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Bayley and Naomi have so far qualified for an opportunity to face Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 41 on April 19 & 20, 2025.
