An update has emerged regarding Santos Escobar’s return to WWE television after recently re-signing with the company.
Santos Escobar signed a new WWE deal on October 7, very shortly after his previous contract had expired.
Although he hasn’t been seen in the ring since the WWE SuperShow Mexico in July of this year, PWInsider reports that Escobar was backstage at last night’s Raw, which took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Despite speculation heading into the show regarding an Escobar return, he ultimately did not appear on television during the episode, with no word on when fans should expect him back in the mix.
With Escobar’s Legado del Fantasma teammates, Berto and Angel, still signed to WWE via SmackDown, the future of that stable remains to be seen.
Legado del Fantasma were last in action with a losing effort to Mr. Iguana, Pagano & Psycho Clown at WWE SuperShow Mexico.
Their last victory took place at WWE Worlds Collide in June of this year, defeating El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano & Psycho Clown.
That June 7 match marked the last time that Escobar was seen on WWE television.
WrestleTalk will provide updates on plans for Santos Escobar under his new deal as they emerge.
