A WWE Raw star has advanced in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament to crown the inaugural champion at ‘Night of Champions’.
With a pair of big triple threat matches earlier in the night to determine who would move past the first round, the second round of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament was underway for the night’s main event.
On tonight’s WWE Raw (May 8) Seth Rollins and Finn Balor faced off for the opportunity to move on to WWE’s upcoming premium live event, Night of Champions, to become the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
In a hard hitting bout, it was eventually the stomp that got him the victory as Seth Rollins advanced to the final at Night of Champions.
He will face the winner of the SmackDown side of the bracket for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament set for this Friday night on Fox.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Raw, the first round of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship saw two big triple threat matches and led to another massive match being made for Night of Champions.
