Those kind folks over at WWE have given their superstars Christmas off this year in an act of holiday spirit, which means they are having to pre-tape Raw and SmackDown Live as they fall on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Below are the spoilers for the Christmas Eve episode of Raw. We’d like to extend our thanks to our man on the ground Dillon Mcnabb, who supplied us with the following:
- Elias started with a Bobby Lashley bashing Christmas song in the ring. Bobby and Lio rush interrupt and it’s time for the Miracle on 34th Street Fight which Elias wins. Elias back-dropped Lashley onto some LEGO that had been found in a present in the ring and smashed a violin over his back. Lio Rush was then covered in egg nog. The crowd chanted “we want LEGO” throughout.
- Raw tag champs Chad Gable and Bobby Roode retained over The Revival, who qualified for the match on this week’s show in a four way tag match. Gable rolled Scott Dawson up for the pin, bu there are some suspicions that Dawson had his shoulder up so we’ll see if that leads to anything.
- Sasha Banks, Bayley and Ember Moon defeated Mickie James, Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox. The Riott Squad attacked Moon, Banks and Bayley post-match. Good pops for the win, boos for the Riott Squad.
- Finn Balor defeated Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match, pinning Ziggler. McIntyre re-entered the ring for a post-match attack but Ziggler connected with a Zig Zag. Drew had previously announced himself for the Royal Rumble match in a promo.
- Paul Heyman comes out and declared Brock Lesnar will defeat Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble. Strowman interrupts without a sling on his arm, and taunts Heyman, intimidating him. Braun places a Santa hat and reindeer nose on Heyman and threatens him some more.
- Ronda Rousey retained over Natalya who qualified for a match against Rousey this week after winning a gauntlet match. Rousey made Natalya tap to the armbar.
- Heath Slater defeated Jinder Mahal by DQ due to interference from the Singhs. Santa Claus comes out to make the save for Slater, and it turns out it’s Rhyno. Rhyno ends the segment with a Gore to Jinder.
- Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin in the main event via pinfall following a curb stomp.
