WWE Raw Star Comments On Possible NXT Return

During a recent interview with Comic Book, former Raw Tag Team and NXT Champion Robert Roode commented on the possibility of him eventually making a return to the black and gold brand.

While he didn’t explicitly say that he has a strong desire to return to Full Sail, Roode implied that he’d be open to backing a full-time NXT return if management decided that’s what they wanted him to do:

“NXT was a great spot for me. When I first came to WWE, I was able to be a part of that brand early on, and do my part and try to really grow that brand, and had the opportunity to be their champion, and to be on top, and to main event TakeOvers.

“That was just a great experience and the brand itself has now grown even larger. So wherever the job takes me, I’m going to be there and I’m going to do everything I can to be a guy that the brand can lean on, and to be in the mix, and to take every opportunity that is given to me and make the best of it. So whether that’s on Raw, whether that’s on SmackDown, or whether that’s on NXT, I’m going to do everything I can to stand out and to work my way towards being a champion again.”

Prior to this Raw return on last week’s show, it was speculated that Robert Roode was going to be the main roster star returning to NXT at TakeOver 31. However, as we know, that ended up being Ember Moon.

During the interview, Roode also commented on the possibility of Beer Money having a WWE run after it was reported that his former tag team partner James Storm was supposed to join WWE this year. You can find out exactly what he said by clicking here.
