Since the change in WWE regime back in July, numerous WWE stars have found themselves being showcased on Raw, SmackDown and NXT more than they were under the old WWE regime.
The Street Profits were a team featured prominently under both the old and new regimes, and fans have noticed Angelo Dawkins of the team has been stepping into the ring for more singles matches recently. That isn’t an accident.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that Dawkins’ efforts in the ring have not just impressed fans, but also those in management, with one source heavily crediting him for improvements all around, from his physique to his in-ring ability and style that he has worked.
Another source noted that it is no coincidence that he has been seeing more singles action in recent months, noting that they had heard higher ups speaking highly of Dawkins.
Dawkins has had as many singles matches since June 20 as he did from WrestleMania 37 to May 2022, for context.
A current AEW talent spoke to Fightful, saying that they have long believed Dawkins could be the breakout member of the group if he was given the opportunities in singles matches.
