WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has tipped a specific Raw star to have the “run of a lifetime” after he recently returned to TV after a few weeks’ absence.
Aleister Black made his presence known in his Raw return when he turned heel by attacking Kevin Owens, weeks after he was written off TV via an attack by Seth Rollins and Murphy.
When McIntyre was asked by Newsweek for one specific talent he believes has a bright future, he said:
“There’s a few people that have stepped up and continue to step up and there’s more to come. I know there’s more to come from Aleister Black for sure. I’m just waiting for that big moment.
“He knows his character as well as I know mine. He knows what he’s going for and it’s really cool and I guess it’s just doing it the right way to connect the right way because he’s got all the tools. Once you put the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle in the right place is when someone gets on a roll. I think Aleister Black is finally going to put that jigsaw puzzle together and he’s going to be on the run of a lifetime.”
Now that Black is a heel, that could set up a potential match with McIntyre for the WWE Title down the line, providing McIntyre doesn’t drop it in the near future.
He’s also just been written off TV for a bit, at least presumably through Payback this Sunday, as Randy Orton punted him in the head multiple times and he sustained what WWE called potentially career-threatening injuries.
