WWE
WWE taped two episodes of Friday Night SmackDown last night (December 16) in Chicago, Illinois.
The first show was yesterday’s live show, along with a taped episode that is set to air next Friday (December 23).
The dark match before the tapings saw Maximum Male Model mån.sôör lose to hometown hero Mustafa Ali.
Ali was and still is a member of the Monday Night Raw roster, but he was brought in for last night’s SmackDown tapings for a very heartwarming reason.
Fightful Select (subscription required) notes that Ali wrestled on the tapings due to his family being in attendance for the show, allowing his wife and young daughter to watch him do his thing before the show.
Ali shared photos of the three of them before the show, including his daughter in the SmackDown ring.
Ali also recently wrestled on SmackDown as a participant in the SmackDown World Cup, losing to Ricochet in the first round.
