WWE Raw Viewership Down Post Survivor Series

WWE Raw Viewership Down Post Survivor Series

WWE Raw averaged 2.11 million viewers last night. This is the second-lowest non-holiday number of the modern era.

The show continued the typical trend of seeing viewers drop off by hour 3.  However, the second hour featuring the US Championship storyline kept most of the viewers from hour 1.

Unfortunately, Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens and Charlotte vs. Asuka were not enough to keep people around.

The three hours were:

  • 8 p.m. 2.24 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 2.19 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 1.90 million viewers

This week, football shouldn’t be blamed for the drop-off.  The Monday Night Football game wasn’t close.  Generally, you would expect a bump coming off Survivor Series.

However, that didn’t happen.  Is this because Raw did very poorly at Survivor Series?  Is it because the Becky vs. Baszler vs. Bayley match was a flop?  Or is it because Seth isn’t drawing in the viewers.

The show itself was not bad at all. Many fans and critics were high on last night’s show.

WWE appears to have turned Seth Rollins heel.  Kevin Owens is being positioned as a top babyface.  Rey Mysterio won a title. Randy Orton and AJ Styles are set to feud.

Also, Aleister Black finally got a fighting partner in Buddy Murphy.  We also saw a progression in the Rusev/Lana/Lashley story.

Will all these positives help Raw in the ratings next week?  Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com to find out.
