WWE Recruiting NFL Players Latest Update

WWE Recruiting NFL Players Latest Update WWE/NFL

The latest update has emerged on WWE potentially looking to recruit some new signings and Performance Center prospects from the NFL.

WWE has had a renewed focus over the past few years of hiring athletes from outside sports and molding them into becoming NXT and WWE stars.

That recruitment direction continued this past week in conjunction with the SuperBowl.

The official WWE Recruit social media page shared that NXT Tag Team Champion Osiris Griffin and Elijah Holyfield were at the NFL Player Care Foundation’s 2026 SuperBowl Career Fair representing WWE.

The NFL Players Association notes:

This career fair offers the opportunity for Former Players to connect with over 35 employers, including Aon, Cisco, Cigna, and EA Sports, among others.

On site activations include a professional headshot booth, informative panels led by Google, Amazon and NFL executives, and application openings for career opportunities

The WWE Recruit page shared photos of Griffin and Holyfield at a stall with their lanyards marked “employer.”

Their table featured various WWE merch items including Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and LA Knight action figures.

Osiris Griffin is one half of the current NXT Tag Team Champions alongside fellow DarkState member Saquon Shugars – Griffin originally won the title with Dion Lennox, but Lennox passed his belt over to Shugars so he could move into the singles division.

Elijah Holyfield is the son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield and has featured on WWE LFG but has yet to make his NXT TV debut – his run on season two of LFG was cut short due to injury.
