Roman Reigns walked out of WrestleMania 37 having won his match and retained his Universal Championship. But what if he didn’t? Because a portion of the WWE fanbase is trying to claim that Edge was the true victor.
As Reigns pinned Daniel Bryan and Edge’s shoulders to the mat at the same time, people have pointed out that Edge was on top of Bryan when the three-count was made. However, referee Charles Robinson has now explained the call.
Replying to Adam Pearce on Twitter, Robinson had the following to say:
Four shoulders were on the mat. Roman was on top of both and in charge. It’s my discretion and that’s the final call.

So that appears to be that. Joking aside, the main event of WrestleMania seemed to go off without a hitch, and any added controversy will likely be forgotten about quickly.
Edge had been on the verge of winning the Universal Championship before Jey Uso got involved. Uso stopped Edge’s attempt at hitting Reigns with a Conchairto, leading to Reigns hitting Edge with a Conchairto of his own.
This was enough for Reigns to stack his two opponents up and pin them both to retain his title.
