Two former WWE Champions will be returning to the ring on May 10 and their opponents have now been revealed.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were released from their WWE contracts for a second time in February 2025.
With Anderson recovering from an injury that required surgery, his in-ring is almost upon us, with opponents now confirmed.
As recently reported, The Good Brothers will be returning to action at Maple Leaf Pro on May 10, 2025.
A new update has emerged on the match revealing that Gallows and Anderson will be facing two current NJPW stars in the form of David Finlay and Drilla Moloney.
Announcing the “historic tag team match-up”, the official Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Twitter account hinted at what to expect from two very different generations of Bullet Club, tweeting:
“It’s an historic tag team match-up between two of the dominant squads from Bullet Club history! The Good Brothers (@MachineGunKA & @The_BigLG) were the OG tag team warlords for Bullet Club, while the War Dogs (David Finlay & Drilla Moloney) now run the roost!
“Can old dogs learn new tricks, or will the War Dogs make them heel?
“Find out at #MLPNorthernRising THIS SATURDAY at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens)! Match sponsored by ShipNerd!”
Moloney, himself a former WWE star under NXT UK, aligned himself with the War Dogs in June 2023, with Finlay having joined the group in March of that year.
Since his debut in April 2023, Moloney has gone on to be a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship with Clark Connors.
Finlay is a two-time IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion and former IWGP Tag Team Champion (with Juice Robinson), along with holding the NEVER Openweight Championship and NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship (with Ricochet and Satoshi Kojima).
Gallows & Anderson are three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions, with the latter also holding the NEVER Openweight Championship.
The last time The Good Brothers shared the ring with Finlay was at NJPW G1 Climax 32 in August 2022 with the future War Dogs leader teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi in a winning effort.
