WWE Release Statement Following Jimmy Uso Arrest

WWE Release Statement Following Jimmy Uso Arrest

WWE has now released a statement after Jimmy Uso was arrested in Detroit following a “drunken dispute” with police officers.

Uso was traveling with his wife Naomi, who was at the wheel of the Dodge Journey, when they were pulled over in Detroit for driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

When cops stopped the vehicle it reportedly smelled of alcohol, causing them to ask Naomi to step out of the car. While Naomi was speaking with the officers, Jimmy allegedly got out of the car, removed his shirt and squared up to the policemen as if we wanted to fight.

TMZ states that at one stage the cops pulled out their taser guns – although did not use them – due to fears for their safety. When Uso eventually settled he was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct. Uso is no longer in jail having posted a bond for his release.

Below is the mugshot taken of Jimmy Uso.

This is not the first time the Usos have been in trouble with the law, with Jimmy’s brother Jey arrest in January 2018 for DWI following a WWE show in Texas.

WWE has now issued the following statement on the matter:

“Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”

The Usos are scheduled to face The Miz and Shane McMahon for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships this weekend at the Elimination Chamber PPV. We will have to wait and see whether this incident affects that in any way.
