Another previously released WWE star has made their return to the company, this one returning for a huge opportunity on SmackDown.
On tonight’s October 28 edition of WWE SmackDown, a released star returned as Tenille Dashwood, aka Emma returned to the company for a big match.
Tenille Dashwood answered Ronda Rousey’s open challenge for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on tonight’s show.
While she put up a valiant effort, in the end her return match did not yield a victory as she failed to best Rousey for the championship.
Emma lost via submission to Ronda Rousey after taunts from Rousey including telling her that no one remembered her.
Michael Cole on commentary noted that tomorrow (October 29) marked the five year anniversary of Emma being released from WWE.
Tonight’s taping of SmackDown will include a second episode as well, pre-taping for next week’s November 4 edition as the talent will be travelling to Saudi Arabia.
The following day, WWE will present it’s premium live event from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and the first of the Triple H era in Crown Jewel on Saturday November 5, 2022.
Crown Jewel is set to feature Roman Reigns taking on Logan Paul for the Undisputed WWE Championship while Bobby Lashley face off against Brock Lesnar in a battle of the two behemoths.
