Released WWE Star Announced For STARDOM 5STAR Grand Prix Tournament WWE

A former WWE star who was released earlier this year has now been announced for an upcoming tournament in STARDOM.

With the STARDOM 5STAR Grand Prix set to kick off on July 23, we now know that a notable star will return to the promotion for to compete in this tournament.

Bea Priestley – who wrestled in WWE as Blair Davenport – was announced for the tournament during the July 5 press conference.

An announcement video from Priestley was aired during the press conference, with Priestley saying:

“This is the Top Gaijin, Bea Priestley, and I’m entering myself into this year’s Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix.

“Now, win or lose, I’m aware of how tough these tournaments can be, but I’m going to show how every one of these joshi girls is shopai (weak/pathetic), and that Bea will forever be ichiban (number one/the best). See you soon, Japan.”

Graphics for the tournament blocks were then shown, revealing that Priestley will compete in the Red Stars A Block.

The competitors announced for each block were:

Red Stars A Block:

Saya Kamitani, Hanan, Mei Seira, Yuna Mizumori, Lady C, Waka Tsukiyama, Azusa Inaba, Bea Priestley.

Red Stars B Block:

Starlight Kid, AZM, Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurai, Tomoka Inaba, Rian, Natsuko Tora, Rina.

Blue Stars A Block:

Saya Iida, Miyu Amasaki, Saori Anou, Aya Sakura, Ami Sohrei, Bozilla, Ruaka, final competitor TBD in a qualifying match.

Blue Stars B Block:

Momo Kohgo, Hina, Ranna Yagami, HANAKO, Suzu Suzuki, Momo Watanabe, Konami, Sareee.

Priestley previously wrestled for STARDOM from 2017 to 2021, during which time she had reigns with the Artist of Stardom, Goddesses of Stardom and World of Stardom championships.

Released by WWE in February, She wrestled her first match post-WWE departure at NJPW Resurgence on May 9, defeating Viva Van.
