According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had big plans for Tegan Nox before her injury at the Mae Young Classic tapings in August. Heartbreakingly, she was due to win the entire tournament, meeting Toni Storm in the finals at WWE Evolution.

As previously reported, Nox suffered a left leg injury while facing Rhea Ripley in the quarterfinals of this year’s tournament. The Australian advanced due to the injury, losing to Io Shirai in the semifinals.
Tegan Nox also suffered a torn ACL in 2017. The injury forced her to miss the inagural Mae Young Classic after signing a WWE contract in April of that year.
Nox debuted back in July 2014 under the name Nixon Newell, competing three times on the Attack! Pro Wrestling show. That night, she defeated Lana Austin and then teamed with Austin to defeat Mark Andrews and current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, captuing the Attack! 24/7 Championship. She’s since gone on to win multiple championships including the British Empire Woman’s Championship and the Attack! Tag Team Championship with Mark Andrews.
