While there has been much debate regarding COVID-19 vaccination mandates throughout the world, WWE has made efforts to encourage their talent to get vaccinated.
In a new report on Fightful Select, sources within WWE have informed that the company recently sent reminders to talent confirming travel requirements for the upcoming event in Saudi Arabia including COVID-19 vaccine plus booster shot.
WWE now noting that COVID-19 booster shots are required for one to be considered ‘fully vaccinated’ may have an impact on which talent is willing or able to travel to Jeddah for the February 19 event.
Lina Fanene, formerly known as Nia Jax in WWE sparked some controversy today by tweeting in part, “I know a lot of people in many professional sports that just paid & got a real card from a doctor,” which other users were quick to point out is a federal crime.
While most WWE talent has not made their vaccination status known, it was reported when Nia Jax was released by WWE in November 2021 that her choice to not get vaccinated was one of the reasons, which she confirmed in a recent interview with Renee Paquette.
