With a nearly twenty-year WWE career under her belt, Natalya has responded to questions about her retirement.
Natalya’s WWE career started with her signing in 2007, with her most recent contract signing taking place in July 2024 amid rumors that she may be leaving the company.
During an appearance on the Nikki & Brie Show, the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion opened up about questions of her retirement.
According to the WWE star, she’s only considering hanging up her boots when two other veterans have done so, saying:
“It’s funny because people say to me, ‘When are you gonna hang it up?’ I’m gonna hang it up when Randy Orton hangs it up, when Rey Mysterio hangs it up.”

Reflecting on the physical conditions of both WWE veterans, Natalya revealed the mindset that this era isn’t defined by age, stating:
“When I look at Randy, Randy Orton is in the best shape of his life, Rey Mysterio is in the best shape of his life.
“What I love right now in WWE is that we’re not letting a number define what people can do, that’s the great thing about this era.”

As for her own condition, Natalya would say that she feels she’s in better shape now than she ever has been, explaining:
“If you are good at what you do, you go in there and rock it, don’t worry about it.
“I actually feel like I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been in my life. Knock on wood, I wake up every morning pain-free.”

Natalya has recently opened up about not wanting to coast in WWE while also noting that, despite her veteran status, Triple H doesn’t owe her opportunities.
The former Divas Champion recently took her first independent booking since signing with WWE, competed at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII over WrestleMania 41 week, where she defeated Miyu Yamashita, under the name Nattie Neidhart.
She is next set to compete on the independent scene at the Crockett Cup 2025, challenging NWA Women’s World Champion Kenzie Paige on May 17.
