Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is set to make a major international return, with two notable appearances confirmed.
CM Punk has wrestled all over the world since returning to WWE in 2023, with the top star notably wrestling at house shows across the UK ahead of Clash In Paris this past August.
CM Punk has now been confirmed for WWE’s upcoming Supershow live events in Japan, with the official WWE Japan Twitter account sharing an announcement video, which you can view below.
In the caption, WWE Japan announced that Punk will be in action at both the October 17 and 18 events, which will emanate from the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.
These events will feature CM Punk’s first matches in Japan since 2011. The former World Heavyweight Champion’s last match in Japan saw him defend the WWE Championship against Alberto Del Rio at a house show on December 1, 2011.
CM Punk is currently gearing up to team with AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza. the September 20 PLE will see this duo face off against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
