The real reason why D-Von Dudley didn’t get physical during his WWE return on this week’s NXT has been revealed.
This week’s edition of NXT featured several former ECW stars, including Bubba Ray Dudley who teamed with Trick Williams against Ethan Page and Ridge Holland.
While Trick Williams was ultimately pinned, he and Bubba Ray Dudley ended the segment standing tall following the return of Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley.
D-Von – who is signed to a WWE Legends deal – emerged with a table for the duo to put Ethan Page through, before handing Trick Williams his own set of Dudley Boyz glasses.
While D-Von getting the tables was a feel-good moment, some fans wondered why he didn’t get physical or help put Page through the table.
Per Fightful Select, D-Von didn’t get physical as he’s not medically cleared for physicality.
D-Von has actually wrestled twice this year, most recently at IWC Superstar Showdown V in April, where he teamed with Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) and Elijah (fka WWE’s Elias) in six-man tag-team action.
Viewership figures have now emerged on WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite following their head-to-head clash on Wednesday (November 6), which you can read more about right here.
