WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes has revealed how much more money he was offered upon his WWE return, compared to his previous run.
It’s fair to say Cody Rhodes reinvented himself following his WWE exit in 2016, with the popular star going on to hold gold with the likes of ROH and NJPW, co-found AEW, and establish his American Nightmare persona.
Speaking on The Flagrant, Cody Rhodes recalled receiving his offer to return in 2022 in a really old-school way:
“Really old school. Scribbled on a piece of paper the amount of money the contract would be for and just slid it across, which was unnecessary.”
When asked how much money WWE offered him, Rhodes replied:
“I can’t tell you exactly how much it was. I can tell you it was 15 times more than what I had been making in WWE in the first run.”
Cody Rhodes is now the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Champion, defeating World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER to win the accolade at Saturday’s (November 2) Crown Jewel premium live event.
