Former Champion Teases WWE Return Ahead Of Retirement Match WWE

Former Universal Champion Goldberg has teased his upcoming WWE return, having recently confirmed he’s training for a retirement match in 2025.

Last seen at the October 2024 WWE Bad Blood event, Goldberg has since confirmed that he would be stepping back into the ring in 2025.

While a date for the retirement match is yet to be announced, Goldberg has confirmed that he is undergoing training for the return.

Via his own Twitter account, the former World Heavyweight Champion has now shared a vision of what fans could potentially expect.

As can be seen below this news story, the Hall of Famer shared footage of his return in October 2016.

The video featured the caption:

“When Goldberg returned to WWE after 12 years.

“Raw, Oct. 17, 2016.”

Goldberg added a tantilizing comment of his own in his tweet, posting:

“About time to replicate this!”

The October 17 episode of WWE Raw saw Goldberg return to accept a challenge from Paul Heyman that would see him face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in November 2016.

The match would see the WWE Hall of Famer pin Lesnar in the main event of the Toronto WWE PLE, with the match lasting under ninety seconds.

Goldberg’s last match was at WWE Elimination Chamber in February 2022, with Roman Reigns retaining the WWE Universal Championship.
