Former WWE Wrestler Announces Pro-Wrestling Return

A former WWE wrestler has made an announcement regarding their future, announcing that they will be returning to the world of wrestling.

While she did sign a WWE legends deal in April 2025, CJ Perry hasn’t appeared as a talent on a wrestling show since exiting AEW in December 2023.

Speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Perry – fka Lana in WWE – announced that she will be returning to the world of wrestling, appearing as a manager on independent shows.

Explaining what’s next for her, Perry said:

“I’m making an announcement that I will be returning back to professional wrestling and I’m going to be hitting the indie scene.

“Definitely on the mic and managing 100%, and that’s why I’m enrolling in stand up (comedy), because I want to be so good on the mic, I want to be so sharp, I want to be so iconic. Paul Heyman is my favorite manager of all time, and I’m always studying and watching him.

“I’m going to go on this journey. So, I’m going to start going to wrestling events, and I’m going to start searching for the next super athlete.”

Addressing the possibility of an in-ring return, she continued:

“The bottom line is, when you get into professional wrestling in any shape or form, you’ve got to be ready to resolve conflict in the ring.

“So, when you go, ‘will you be wrestling?’, my goal is not to start wrestling, but if someone has an issue with me and I need to resolve some conflict in the ring, you better believe I’ll be ready… or have bodyguards to protect me.”
