According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is going to be returning to Saudi Arabia for a show before the end of 2021.
Meltzer notes that the Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight being confirmed for August 14 in Saudi opens the door up for WWE to return to the country for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.
Meltzer said:
“The big thing with them (Joshua and Fury) is their date is August 14 and it’s in Saudi Arabia, and if Saudi Arabia’s willing to bring them in, that means they’re gonna bring WWE in before the end of the year. That’s not been said, but the only reason they (WWE) haven’t been in Saudi Arabia is because of the pandemic and Saudi Arabia wasn’t bringing anyone in.”
