NXT star Wes Lee has sent a warning to a Hall of Famer who recently teased a WWE in-ring return.
Rob Van Dam was one of several former ECW stars to appear on Wednesday’s (November 6) NXT episode at the 2300 Arena.
RVD was attacked backstage during the show by Wes Lee, ahead of Lee’s match against Je’Von Evans. Van Dam ultimately appeared during the match to help Evans secure the victory.
Following the bout, RVD replied to a fan who noted that they wished he had a match on this show, tweeting:
Me too. But I’ll be back.
Wes Lee has now responded to this comment, writing:
I’ll drop your ass again if that happens
Rob Van Dam hasn’t wrestled for WWE since 2014, when he defeated Seth Rollins via countout on an August 2014 episode of WWE Main Event.
He has remained active away from WWE, wrestling for the likes of TNA Wrestling and AEW since his last WWE bout.
RVD is currently signed to a WWE Legends deal. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
I’ll drop your ass again if that happens https://t.co/u7SWYGxWbR
