WWE will return to Atlanta for next year’s WWE Day 1 Premium Live Event, per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The event is once again slated for New Year’s Day, which will be a Sunday in 2023. Dave Meltzer noted:
“The second Day 1 PPV show is scheduled for 1/1 again in Atlanta with the idea that’s the city to hold it in because so many tourists go to the city that day.”
This year’s inaugural show saw Brock Lesnar win the WWE Championship in a fatal five-way bout.
The Beast had only been added to the contest hours before, following the announcement that his original opponent, Roman Reigns, was unable to compete due to COVID-19 protocol.
Lesnar and Reigns will face off at WrestleMania 38, with both the WWE. and Universal Championships on the line.
