PWInsider has reported that WWE is returning to Madison Square Garden on September 9 and 10 of this year, where it will tape episodes of Raw and SmackDown.
This will mark the first time in a decade that WWE has aired Raw live from its long-time spiritual home. On that episode of the show, DX partners Shawn Michaels and Triple H teamed up to face The Undertaker and Chris Jericho.
WWE has been reluctant to broadcast events from MSG in recent years due to the high costs associated with filming events at the venue but it seems that the NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard coming up in the venue next week has caused them to change their stance.
It is also being reported that Mexican lucha libre group AAA, which has a partnership agreement with AEW, is holding a press conference at the venue on April 4 and is expected to announce its first show in the building, which has been talked about for some time.
