Two former WWE stars have reunited, with the former factionmates sending a message to their former rival John Cena.
Fred Rosser – who wrestled as Darren Young in WWE – has shared a photo of David Otunga, who he previously teamed with as part of the Nexus faction.
Rosser noted that he and Otunga ran into each other at the gym, before teasing going after John Cena, one last time.
He captioned the Twitter post:
Ran into @DavidOtunga at the gym. Nexus energy’s in the air… Cena, you ready?
While Otunga hasn’t wrestled since 2015, Rosser currently wrestles for NJPW, and is a trainer at the NJPW Academy. He last wrestled at the May 9 Resurgence event, defeating Matt Vandagriff in singles action.
Rosser recently addressed the possibility of a WWE return.
John Cena has had a busy weekend, defending his WWE Championship against CM Punk on the June 28 Night of Champions premium live event.
The closing moments of this match saw Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Penta, Sami Zayn and Mr Money in the Bank Seth Rollins make appearances, with Cena capitalising on Rollins attacking Punk to win the match.
Another former WWE star has addressed fans chanting his name during the Night of Champions post-show, which you can read more about right here.
