Rey Mysterio has addressed his daughter, Aalyah, undertaking in-ring training after her recent trip to the WWE Performance Center.
The WWE Hall of Famer confirmed that his daughter had joined him at the WWE Performance Center as he prepares to make his return to in-ring action.
During a recent appearance on the Shoboy Show, Mysterio shared more insight into the progress of his daughter, saying:
“My daughter just stepped into the ring for the first time last week with me. She’s had the curiosity, like, ‘What does it feel like?’
“She’s never been in a ring. She’s 24 years old. She’s like, ‘Dad, when are you taking me to the ring, just play around and get in there?’ For a year and a half.
“And then I said, ‘When you graduate.’ She graduated in June, and she’s been bugging me, I said, ‘Okay, let’s go.’
“Took her to the ring and she jumped in there. She impressed me for the first time.
“Like, a person that has never been in the ring before, to do the things she did, it’s gotta come from the genes. You don’t learn that overnight.”

Aalyah is the younger sister of Dominik Mysterio and previously featured on WWE television in a storyline relationship with Buddy Murphy, now Buddy Matthews in AEW.
She’s also been seen training at Nattie Neidhart and TJ Wilson’s Dungeon recently.
Rey Mysterio was sidelined ahead of WrestleMania 41 due to injury, but made an appearance at WWE Worlds Collide.
The crossover show saw Dominik Mysterio become AAA Mega Champion, with his “deadbeat dad” forced to ‘celebrate’ the moment with his son.
