Rey Mysterio Explains Why He’s Constantly Betrayed By WWE Tag Partners WWE

Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has addressed being betrayed regularly by other WWE stars, teasing that he could one day be the one turning heel.

Over the course of Mysterio’s career, the luchador has been attacked by many stars looking to reaffirm their character changes.

Mysterio has been the target of heel turn attacks even in recent years, with the likes of Carlito, Santos Escobar and even his son Dominik Mysterio laying the Hall of Famer out.

Speaking with Graham “GSM” Matthews for Bleacher Report, Mysterio noted that he’s “too friendly” both in and outside of the ring.

Hinting that one day he could snap after pointing out that he’s had the same character for a while, he said:

“I’m too friendly with people and because I don’t know how to get mad and I can’t be the bad guy, even at home. My wife sometimes will tell me, ‘You have to show them a little bit more attitude.’ I’m just so chill. I’m so relaxed.

“I can’t change that character I’ve been for so many years, my whole life. I always end up trusting the wrong people and that’s my problem. Maybe one day I’ll just snap and go crazy.”

Mysterio defeated his former tag partner Carlito on the May 27 edition of Raw, before getting dropped by World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

Rey Mysterio recently shared a pitch for a new international WWE PLE location, which you can read more about right here.
