WWE’s Rhea Ripley has issued a statement to fans on the treatment of women’s wrestlers.
On Wednesday, May 14, the former WWE Women’s World Champion took to social media to voice her frustrations with a section of wrestling fans regarding the treatment of herself and her peers.
Posting to Twitter, Ripley wrote:
Women’s wrestling fan
– “women deserve better”
(Same breath)
– “she’s sleeping with her boss that’s why she’s where she is”
– “She should retire”
– “She doesn’t deserve it”
– “She’s handed everything and never worked for anything”
– “I hope she gets injured”
YOU guys are the real reason it’s so difficult to be taken seriously as a women’s wrestler.
If YOU put as much effort into your own miserable lives as you put into degrading successful women, then maybe you would accomplish something yourself.
Ripley returned to in-ring action on this week’s WWE Raw, after a trip back home to Australia to promote WWE Crown Jewel in Perth on October 11, 2025 – with The Eradicator teaming with IYO SKY to defeat NXT’s Giulia and Roxanne Perez.
