WWE has released SmackDown ring announcer Greg Hamilton as of today, October 26, 2021.
UPDATE: It appears the reason for Hamilton’s release may have come to light, which you can read about at this link.
Hamilton (real name Greg Hutson) removed all mentions of WWE from his Twitter account and privated the account. PWInsider looked into why, and were told he had been released.
Hamilton first signed with WWE back in 2015, where he spent a year doing ring announcing for the NXT brand, before moving up to the main roster in 2016 to provide the ring announcing for SmackDown.
WWE has yet to publicly announce Hamilton’s departure.
