WWE
An upcoming WWE special has officially been announced, set to emanate from a unique arena in New York City.
It was previously reported that WWE was looking to hold an NXT show in New York, with it being proposed for March 11 in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
WWE has now confirmed a show for this date and location, announcing WWE Roadblock.
Interestingly, even though this is confirmed to be a special episode of NXT, the company has only referred to the upcoming show as “WWE Roadblock” and “Roadblock” so far, rather than NXT Roadblock.
WWE shared the following announcement:
WWE today announced Roadblock will take place Tuesday, March 11 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The special episode of NXT will air live on The CW starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb, 14 at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Fans can purchase tickets during an exclusive pre-sale by visiting Ticketmaster and using the code NXTLIVE starting Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT until Thursday, Feb. 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET / 8:59 p.m. PT.
This will be one day after the WWE Raw on Netflix show in Madison Square Garden, which will take place on March 10.
The Theater in Madison Square Garden is located beneath the main Madison Square Garden arena, and can seat between 2,000 and 5,600 people.
