Roman Reigns Comments Ahead Of First SmackDown Appearance Since WrestleMania 39 WWE

The recent WWE Draft saw the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns remain on SmackDown, with the Tribal Chief now commenting.

Having defeated Cody Rhodes to retain his unified championship at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023, Reigns has been noticeably absent from the WWE ring in the weeks since.

This isn’t unusual, of course, for a champion on a limited schedule, as previously reported, with in-ring appearances for the Tribal Chief largely restricted to premium live events.

He is, however, set to make his first appearance on WWE SmackDown since WrestleMania 39, though there’s no sign that he’ll be wrestling.

Roman Reigns has marked the occasion on Twitter in the hours before his return appearance on the May 12 episode, tweeting:

“The Tribal Chief.

“The Head of the Table.

“The ☝🏽& ONLY Undisputed WWE Universal HEAVYWEIGHT Champion in WWE.

“Aka #SmackDown‘s Daddy.

“Comes home…Tomorrow night!”

Reigns is set to appear at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on May 27 and is also advertised for the July 1 Money in the Bank event at the 02 Arena in London, England.

Dominik Mysterio recently boldly commented that he doesn’t think Roman Reigns would survive in prison.

Here’s a recap of what happened on the May 8 episode of WWE Raw:

Mustafa Ali def. Otis when Chad Gable and Maxxine Dupri argued and distracted Otis
