Roman Reigns has shared a Street Fighter movie tease during his WWE absence, with “The OTC” filming his role in Australia.
The live action movie is set for an October 2026 release and sees Reigns as Akuma and fellow WWE star Cody Rhodes cast as Guile.
As recently reported, Reigns is in Australia for filming, while Rhodes’ filming commitment has already wrapped.
Reigns has now shared a video tease, hinting at a familiar aspect of his Street Fighter character.
In the video shared on Twitter, Reigns can be seen entering what appears to be a warehouse wearing all black.
He walks past a Street Fighter II arcade cabinet, taking a moment to observe the fight taking place on the screen.
Smiling at the camera, Reigns’ eyes then turn red as he walks past, the screen goes to black and the movie logo and October 2026 date appear on screen.
The fight on the arcade cabinet sees Akuma facing off against Ryu, who will be portrayed by Andrew Koji in the upcoming movie.
For those unfamiliar with Akuma, he was introduced in Super Street Fighter II Turbo and is the younger brother of Gouken, the master of Ken and Ryu.
His name translates from Japanese as “Demon” (or “Devil”), with the character taking a specific interest in Ryu across the video game series.
