WWE Star Thinks Ronda Rousey Match Didn’t Get Enough Love

WWE Star Thinks Ronda Rousey Match Didn’t Get Enough Love WWE

Natalya has opened up about her SmackDown Women’s Title match against Ronda Rousey at WWE Money in the Bank 2022, discussing the fan reaction to the bout.

At last year’s premium live event, Liv Morgan cashed in the Money in the Bank contract she won earlier in the night on SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

In one of the highlights of the night, Morgan pinned a tired Rousey to win her first ever WWE title.

Because of the same-night cash-in, the originally scheduled bout, Rousey vs Natalya, was ultimately overshadowed.

Speaking with Ring The Belle, Natalya noted that she doesn’t think that match got the love it deserved.

Discussing her rivalry with Rousey, Natalya said:

“I talked to Ronda throughout the whole entire thing because I really wanted to kick her ass, and I did. In all seriousness, the matches that I’ve had against Ronda Rousey, they’ve been so challenging and so much fun.

“She’s really trusted me with our performances, and I’ve really loved having those matches against her. Like the match we had at Money in the Bank last year, I don’t think it got enough love.

“It was because Liv cashed in right after, and Liv had that amazing moment where she became the SmackDown Women’s Champion. But I loved that match against Ronda. So I’m just sending a little shout-out and love to Ronda.”

Rousey is currently a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, holding the gold alongside fellow former MMA star Shayna Baszler.

A current UFC star who previously defeated Rousey has now hinted that she’s interested in joining WWE, which you can read more about right here.
