WWE Current Champion Wants To Drop Title WWE

The current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is “ready to change it up” in WWE and has her sights set on her goal.

On her YouTube live stream, the Baddest Woman on the Planet was asked if winning tag team gold with Shayna Baszler was on her bucket list.

In response, Rousey said:

“Yes. I’m happy just to have a tag title.

“I don’t need a singles title. A tag run would be fun.

“I mean, both is cool. I’ve been doing singles for so long, I’m ready to change it up.

“That’s another thing, too, people forget I only have a year-and-a-half of in-ring experience.”

Baszler and Rousey are two of The Four Horsewomen, alongside Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

Rousey made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018 in a mixed tag match that saw her and Kurt Angle take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

She would perform regularly for WWE until WrestleMania 35 when Rousey would take time off to start a family.

She would return, three months after giving birth, in the 2022 Royal Rumble, setting up a feud with Charlotte Flair that would eventually see her Rousey win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash in May 2022.

Rousey would lose the Championship after Liv Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank Contract on July 2’s Money in the Bank PLE.

Her feud with Morgan would climax at Extreme Rules when Morgan would lose the Championship back to Rousey.
