News broke last night that 205 Live‘s Hideo Itami (formerly Pro Wrestling NOAH‘s legendary KENTA) has asked for his release from WWE. Shockingly, however, after reports of both the Revival and Mike & Maria Kanellis having their release requests rejected, the promotion has seen fit to grant the Japanese native’s desire.

Since Itami’s departure has made the rounds, his Twitter handle has returned to KENTA and support for him has been incredibly positive. His fellow colleague came out in droves on social media, wishing him the best and letting him know that they respect him (something Itami has been asking for in character for the past several months).
