‘A Miscarriage Of Justice’: WWE Star Breaks Silence On Royal Rumble Absence WWE

Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has broken his silence on not being featured in the 2025 Royal Rumble match.

Kingston recently took to social media to call WWE out after being left off Royal Rumble ads and graphics, arguing that he’s synonymous with the annual event.

While there had been some speculation about Kingston’s role in the 2025 match, the New Day member was ultimately left out of the 30-man lineup for the men’s Rumble match.

Kofi Kingston has now taken to Twitter to share a silhouette photo of himself, taken by photographer Andrea Kellaway.

Kingston captioned his post:

A miscarriage of justice… #ROYALRUMBLE

This was just the second Royal Rumble match Kingston has missed since his first Rumble in 2009. His only other Royal Rumble match omission since then – the 2021 match – was due to a jaw injury.

Kofi Kingston wowed WWE fans for over a decade of elimination escapes in Rumble matches, using everything from the ringside barricade to commentators’ chairs to find inventive ways of staying in the match.

Logan Paul instead had an elimination escape spot in the 2025 match, jumping onto the announcer’s desk to save himself, before going on to eliminate AJ Styles and CM Punk.

Kingston and Xavier Woods have been receiving negative reactions from nearly everyone on WWE TV after turning their backs on Big E in December 2024.

The men’s Royal Rumble match was ultimately won by Jey Uso, whose WrestleMania 41 opponent has now been revealed.
