Former WWE commentator Pat McAfee has teased his in-ring return at the 2025 Royal Rumble premium live event, amid his WWE absence.
With Royal Rumble 2025 less than three months away, speculation has started to grow about potential entrants in next year’s iconic matches.
Pat McAfee has now called his shot, expressing interest in appearing at the highly-anticipated Royal Rumble event.
Hinting that he could compete in the 30-man match, McAfee noted on the Pat McAfee Show:
“I have been working out, how about it? I’ve been healthier than I ever been.”
McAfee notably ‘competed’ in this past January’s Royal Rumble match. He was only in the match for around 38 seconds, with McAfee eliminating himself after realising he was face to face with Omos, GUNTHER and Bron Breakker.
The former NFL star left his WWE Raw commentary position in August ahead of returning to College Gameday at the beginning of the football season.
Another WWE special is now reportedly planned for Saturday, January 25, 2025 – one week before Royal Rumble – which you can read more about right here.
