WWE Star Receiving ‘A Lot Of Praise’ After Royal Rumble 2025

A notable WWE star is receiving a lot of backstage praise for his work at the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 Premium Live Event.

With the two Royal Rumble matches bookending the show, the final non-Rumble match of the night saw Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens face off in a ladder match with the WWE Championship on the line.

The American Nightmare was ultimately victorious, retrieving his title after driving Owens through a ladder with an emphatic Alabama Slam off the announcer’s table.

Per PWInsider Elite, Owens received a lot of praise behind the scenes, both for the impressive bumps he took inside the ring, as well as his role in putting the match together.

Per the report, Cody Rhodes and other names involved with the planning of the bout were praising Owens whenever they received compliments on the match, reasserting that Owens deserved the credit.

It seems that Owens is testing the waters as a WWE producer, with the former Universal Champion previously listed as a producer for his match against Rey Mysterio on the January 17 SmackDown episode.
