WWE Star Confirmed As First Guest On Wife’s New Show WWE

A WWE star is set to appear on the first episode of a brand new podcast being hosted by their real-life wife.

Set for release on November 3, the new show is called the ‘Identity Crisis Podcast’ and will be released on podcasting platforms including Spotify.

Hosted by CJ Perry and film producer Jonathan Saba, a clip from the first episode was recently released on social media.

The first guest for the upcoming podcast was revealed to be none other than Rusev, the real-life husband of CJ Perry, known to WWE fans as Lana.

A clip was shared to the Identity Crisis Podcast Instagram account, with Rusev talking about being a character in wrestling, saying:

“I was a Bulgarian bad guy, but that’s what you are, and I think more people should see who they are and do that instead of ‘oh, I want to play a professional wrestler. What can I be?’

“No, you gotta find who you are, cos if your character in the ring is closer to the one you are outside, it’s so much easier.

“You don’t have to think twice, or you don’t have to be like ‘I gotta be mean here’ or ‘I gotta smile here’.

“No. Just what you are. Amplify it by a thousand, I would say, and be very mean and aggressive and kick people’s asses.”

Following his departure from AEW, Miro returned to WWE and the Rusev name and has recently targeted Dominik Mysterio.

With John Cena in his retirement year, Rusev has also commented on their past feud, revealing he was ‘thankful’.

Perry is yet to make a return to television, although it was previously confirmed she had signed a WWE Legends deal.
