Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin and Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix were reportedly backstage for last night’s AEW Dynamite. (January 1).
With both Cope (Adam Copeland) and Ricochet debuting in AEW in October 2023 and August 2024 respectively, speculation has been rampant regarding their real-life partners potentially following suit and also joining Tony Khan’s company.
Cope’s wife Beth Phoenix, has been a free agent since her departure from WWE in August 2024, while Ricochet’s fianceé Samantha Irvin shockingly exited WWE two months later in October.
Now, a new report from PWInsider has revealed that both Irvin and Phoenix were in attendance for last night’s AEW Dynamite in Asheville, NC.
However, both Irvin and Phoenix were said to just be visiting, with the latter currently residing in Asheville along with her husband Cope.
There are reportedly no current plans for either to make any appearances on TV.
The report also noted that Irvin is still within her non-compete clause following her WWE departure, which prevents her from appearing on any other combat sports programming, however, she has reportedly visited Ricochet from “time-to-time” at AEW shows.
As previously reported, Irvin is said to be pursuing her music career following her WWE exit, with one of her first post-WWE roles seemingly being revealed recently – click here for full details.
