What Happened After WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025 Went Off The Air WWE/Matt Kempke

Here’s what happened with Jey Uso and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes after the first edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in 2025 went off the air.

The January 25 event was headlined by a World Heavyweight Championship match, with Jey Uso challenging for GUNTHER’s gold.

Main Event Jey ultimately came up short, with the Ring General pinning him after two powerbombs in a row after almost 17 minutes of action.

The show went off the air with GUNTHER leaving Jey Uso in the ring, by himself.

After WWE’s cameras stopped rolling, Cody Rhodes joined Jey Uso in the ring and addressed the crowd.

Rhodes reiterated Michael Cole’s commentary line that Jey Uso’s time will eventually come, before stating that Jey is already a champion in the eyes of many.

Cody Rhodes then pointed out that comedian Gabriel Iglesias was in the crowd and invited him into the ring.

The trio then all ‘Yeet’ed together as the crowd chanted for ‘Fluffy’.

Cody Rhodes appeared on the televised Saturday Night’s Main Event show too, in a contract signing segment for his WWE Championship ladder match with Kevin Owens set for Royal Rumble.
