WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Big Championship Match Officially Announced WWE

A big championship match has been officially announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

In a feud that has been building since Bad Blood back on October 5, we now officially know when Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens will finally face-off one-on-one.

As confirmed in an announcement on Twitter, Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

While the match is a rematch from the pair’s earlier WWE Championship match at Bash in Berlin, the relationship between The American Nightmare and The Prizefighter has completely dissolved since then.

Rhodes’ decision to team with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood proved to be a turning point for Owens, attacking the WWE Champion outside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta as fans captured footage and posted it to social media.

Friend of both Rhodes and Owens: Randy Orton would get caught in the crossfires of the pair’s conflict eventually leading to Owens delivering a piledriver to The Viper that has seen him written off TV.

Owens and Rhodes went back-and-forth on the microphone on this past Friday’s SmackDown prior to this announcement being made, which can be seen in full down below.
