Legends Planned To Appear At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Update WWE

A new report has revealed that several “specific legends” have had discussions with WWE about attending Saturday Night’s Main Event 2024.

As WWE prepares for the upcoming NBC special WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, there are rumblings about potential special appearances.

In a report from WrestleVotes Radio, it was said that it was there was an internal idea to pay homage to the first ever episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event which occurred at the same arena in Long Island, New York nearly 40 years ago.

WrestleVotes Radio noted:

“Specifically, we are hearing those names could include former WWF Women’s Champion Wendi Richter, who defeated the Fabulous Moolah that night, along with bringing in the two participants from the WWF Championship match that evening, which saw the immortal Hulk Hogan defeat Cowboy Bob Orton.

“It’s worth noting that Jimmy Hart is already booked for this show, as was reported elsewhere, which could indeed signal that the Hulkster isn’t that far behind.

“We are hearing that WWE has discussed calling in specific legends, not just the same old [names].”

Another name that has come up plenty as potentially being part of the show is Jesse Ventura.

Already announced for the show, the Undisputed WWE Championship will be on the line when Cody Rhodes looks to defend it against Kevin Owens.

There’s a potential tie-in there for the aforementioned Bob Orton appearance, as Owens attacked Randy Orton a few weeks ago with a piledriver, resulting in Orton being written off TV for the time being.

Also set for the show, GUNTHER will look to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan will put her Women’s World Championship on the line against IYO SKY.

The show will also play host to the final of the Women’s United States Championship tournament.
