A new report has discussed the likelihood of a WWE Saudi Arabia show taking place before the end of the year.
WWE hasn’t hosted a Saudi show since Super ShowDown in February last year. It has now been reported that we could see the company return to the Middle East in 2021.
The WrestleVotes Twitter account has noted that 2 sources indicated that a 2021 return to Saudi Arabia is “very much on the table”. Discussing the possible plans, WrestleVotes tweeted:
“Two WWE sources indicate that an event in Saudi Arabia prior to the end of 2021 is very much on the table.”
Earlier this year, WWE management paid a visit to Saudi Arabia. This was the first time the WWE corporate plane had been taken overseas since the previous year’s Saudi Arabia show.
Recently released star Andrade has discussed his time competing in Saudi Arabia. He opened up about his experience when WWE talent were stranded in the country in 2019.
Andrade’s partner, Charlotte Flair, was recently fined and suspended as part of an ongoing storyline. Flair has reacted to her suspension in a rant online.
