WWE Once Again Scouting Independent Talent WWE

A change has been made to WWE recruitment strategies under the Triple H regime, with WWE once again scouting independent talent.

Following NXT rebranding in September 2021 and focusing on training young athletes, it was more recently reported that WWE is interested in scouting indie talent again, under the new regime.

Recent Triple H rehire Gabe Sapolsky has recently been spotted at AAW and Defy Wrestling events, with some believing that Sapolsky was scouting talent at these events.

Per Bryan Alvarez, this was the case. reporting through his Twitter Super Follows, Alvarez confirmed that WWE is scouting at independent shows, before indicating that Sapolsky’s Defy visit was a scouting trip.

Gabe Sapolsky was rehired by WWE after Triple H took over creative as WWE’s Chief Content Officer. The backstage name was previously released in January. in addition to his creative team roles, Sapolsky is now responsible for booking extras for Raw and SmackDown TV tapings.

The developmental show recently rebranded once again, focusing away from the NXT 2.0 era and heading into a new ‘white and gold’ era, serving as a mixture of the Black and Gold and 2.0 eras of NXT.

Recent episodes of NXT have seen fans questioning the identity of a mysterious person known simply as ‘SCRYPTS’ who has been having vignettes air for them.

There were originally plans to use a number of extras on Monday’s (October 31) edition of Raw. You can read more about scrapped plans for the episode right here.
