WWE Scrapped Cardi B Plans Revealed WWE

WWE SummerSlam will be a two-night spectacle on August 2 and 3, 2025 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The announcement was made by the rapper and songwriter Cardi B, with help from WWE’s Bianca Belair as can be seen in the video below this news story.

This isn’t the first time that Cardi B has found her way into the world of wrestling, with Chelsea Green previously revealing she’d like a match with the star.

Cardi B is clearly a wrestling fan in her own right and previously revealed who she’d model her WrestleMania entrance after.

Fightful Select has revealed that WWE has had interest in the Grammy Award winning artist in the past, according to a new report WWE was interested in working with Cardi B for SummerSlam in 2021.

It was revealed that WWE were also hopeful that Cardi B would made an appearance at that year’s PLE with her track ‘Up’ being the theme song.

As noted by Fightful Select, Cardi B announced her pregnancy which put a pause on any appearance plans.

It was also revealed that WWE reached out to Hall of Famer Mike Tyson and Megan Thee Stallion for that year, too.

Fightful Select would conclude by noting that WWE is “looking to incorporate more mainstream stars” into its programming and PLE announcements.
